WHO IS KAT?

• performance artist

• I’m a Finnish-born, Copenhagen-based aerial artist and performer.
• I started training aerials in the end of 2019, and instantly fell in love
  with it as a sport and as an artform
• I’ve been performing aerial hoop since early 2023, and have since
  performed at various events and festivals in Denmark and Sweden
• I am passionate about creating interesting, beautiful and impressive
  performance concepts as entertainment for all kinds of events
• Though aerial hoop will always be my first love, I also train in aerial
  silks, and occasionally dabble in trapeze and sling. Currently I am
  only performing in the hoop, but aim to add silks to my performance
  repertoire in 2025
• I’m open for bookings as entertainment for events in Copenhagen,
  Denmark, Sweden and the surrounding area year-round

WHAT IS AERIAL HOOP?

WHAT IS AERIAL HOOP?

Aerial hoop, also known as aerial lyra, is an acrobatic circus discipline
where the artist performs with a solid steel hoop suspended in the air.

In a captivating display of strength, flexibility, balance and grace, the artist
dances within and all around the perimeter of the hoop, using it as a tool
to defy gravity and fly high above the audience - all while sustaining a
dizzying spin that shows each carefully performed move from every
possible angle.

Creating beautiful and intricate shapes with the body, the aerialist flows
through sequences of poses, smooth transitions and dramatic drops that
are sure to shock the audience and leave them gasping out loud.

An ambient performance is part of the
ambience and atmosphere of the event, rather
than the main spectacle. Ambient aerial is
typically slower-paced, longer (up to 20
minutes at a time) and is performed several
times over the course of the event. The
performance is semi-improvised to perfectly
match the music and feel of the event.

• AMBIENT AERIAL

A set performance is a predetermined routine
choreographed to a chosen song, usually as
part of a stage show, such as a cabaret.
Typically a set performance lasts around 4-6
minutes and consists of more powerful,
technically difficult and demanding moves, as
well as carefully crafted musicality, storytelling
and emotion.

• SET PERFORMANCE

In duo aerial hoop, two aerialists engage in a
dance of synchronized symmetry, as well as
treacherous trust-based moves, using each
others bodies to balance with the hoop and go
beyond what an aerialist could achieve on
their own.

A powerful, yet intimate show as two bodies
navigate the confines of a single hoop.

I can create a custom act that perfectly matches the style, vision and

All of my aerial performances come with a full theme-appropriate
outfit, including hair and makeup. I am skilled in both costume design
and in makeup artistry - so whether you wish for something toned
down and minimalist, or a full crazy colorful concept look, the sky is
the limit.

Though aerial hoop is usually performed high up, I can work with
lower ceiling heights as well - so don’t let lack of vertical space deter
you from reaching out. Let’s discuss!
